Getting ready for a ton of photos, because it’s just too hard choosing my favorites of my sister-in-law, Jenna!! Back in November, her and Loren were expecting their first baby. Since then, he has arrived and I have enjoyed every snuggle, smile, smooch, and picture of that little guy! I am so glad I got to capture this moment of them with baby Wyatt in the belly. They were excitedly waiting for him to come, as we all were!
This little man stole my heart last December! Couldn’t get enough of his sweet smile and gorgeous eyes! When I finished editing his session, I remembered being bummed out I wouldn’t see his face on my computer screen each night after. :)
Just in time to blog his 6 month session we did because I will be photographing his 1 year photos this Sunday! To say I am soooo looking forward to it would be an understatement. He’s just adorable, and who doesn’t love babies?!

When the last thing YOU want to do is drag them to go take family photos, don’t forget to get family pictures done. ;) This Petersen crew are good friends of my aunt and uncle, and it’s been fun watching their son Monty play baseball over the years and watch Libby turn into a beautiful teen. They live in rad midcentury modern house in Long Beach near the college, so one afternoon we ran up there and took advantage of the dreamy fall lighting and ran up to Cal State Long Beach to snap some family photos.
Ohhhh, how I love maternity sessions. No matter what, mama always looks absolutely stunning and glowing and has a perfect baby bump to show off. Dad always looks more handsome than ever as his excitement for baby shows in his smile. It’s just so much fun capturing a couple or family riiiiight before they’re about to grow.
This afternoon back in November I had the privilege of photographing little Miss Macy in the belly. I loved the gorgeous afternoon lighting at one of my favorite beaches, loved the outfit selections, and loved how everything pulled together. I have waaaaay too many favorites from this session!
Last mini session to share from that afternoon back in November. Get ready for some CUTENESS from the Stuart boys! Big bro and twin brothers arrived looking dapper as ever and ready to giggle. I think this session got me seriously sweaty running around, hahaha, but it was SO worth it!
Another sweet family up on the blog today from that afternoon of mini sessions back in November. This is my first family to feature from that afternoon without twins…YET. But guess who I’ll be shooting sometime this summer?! YUP! Their twin baby girls. So.stinkin.excited. (Apparently, you need to beware if you are a client of mine. There is a possibility my twin-magnet-ishness may rub off on you).
These boys are adorable, and so much fun. I had a blast doing baby Logan’s one year shoot and cake smash in January (another reason to get all caught up on the blog–so you can see what I’ve been doing THIS year. HA!) Little blondies with blue eyes…so dreamy!
You’ll remember this sweet family of 6 from last year. Look at how they’ve grown! Their mama is such a beautiful person inside and out. They make my job seem a lot less like work and a lot more of fun. Mini sessions are quick, and we have a short window to capture Christmas card-worthy photos. This bunch shows up ready to party each time. :)
This little fam joined me on an afternoon of family mini sessions back in November. Twins! Obvs I love them. :) In fact, that afternoon, I think I had three sets of twin families! I’ll share more sessions from that afternoon of mini sessions in the coming days.
Baby Braeden lives in a house with lighting I can only dream about for my own home. Two stories with of mid afternoon light flooding into the living/dining room. Yessss. If you venture back to his maternity photos, you’ll notice I was behind on blogging back then, too. Do you notice a trend?! HA! Be worried, friends, if I’m ever “caught up” on blogging. Something must be seriously wrong with me if I am.
This little man’s brother is such a cutie. I loved capturing these brothers together in some of their first photos together. Brothers. SUCH a special bond.
There are SO MANY great sessions I’ve had recently I want to blog and share with you guys! But I decided I will NOT share anything “new” until I have finished sharing and blogging from where I left off…which was in November! HA! So over the next week or two, I plan to catch you all up so I can move forward sharing all the NEW stuff happening!
First up: The Alvarado family. I’m chuckling to myself, because since this family session we did in November, I also did an extended family session for them and baby Austin’s 1 year photos. Hehehe. Better late than never to update the blog!
I have been photographing this family since he was in the belly, to his newborn photos, and beyond. It was such a dreamy fall afternoon we had at one of my absolute favorite locations. Tons of smiles from baby A thanks to silly parents and his favorite talking stuffed animal. Good times all around!
