This little guy was a newborn client of mine in 2014, then turned 1 in 2015, and I get to see him periodically for family sessions and mini sessions. He’s always so stinking cute! I just can’t not smile when I see those big brown eyes of his. And his sweet family…I’m so glad I’ve gotten to know them and cheer with them and get excited with them through life’s blessings. Side note: do you not love the evolution of his feelings towards the cake smash? Hilarious.
I blinked and this baby turned one last year! Now I’m going to blink again and watch her turn two in a few months. It was fun looking back to just-walking Blake, seeing her in all her baby-ness! Her faces during the cake smash were priceless!
This sweet new mommy contacted me about a newborn session last year…and wanted to do it outdoors! In fact, she wanted to take a trail to where she actually began labor with baby and do it near there! How special is that?! Shooting newborns outside is tricky, but worth it. Pretty images for this nature-loving family.
Looking back at these images from last March makes me SO EXCITED for spring this year. With the expected rain (oh, hey, El Nino), my favorite locations should be beautiful. This also happens to be one of my favorite maternity sessions to date, not just because the couple was sweet and adorable, but because who doesn’t love a French Bulldog?! So cute!!
This sweet girl has the cutest name! I loved doing her parents’ maternity session last year. I remember baby Macy being so teeny tiny, and letting me move her around as I pleased. What a cutie!
When you turn one, a cake smash session is necessary. Cake smashes are fun. But they are WAY more fun with brothers! Loved this sweet one-year-old session. A mix of indoor and outdoor photos was a perfect opportunity to update photos around the house.
At the very beginning of this year, we welcomed my nephew into the world! Wyatt is seriously the sweetest baby around, all smiles, and in love with his craaaaaazy cousins. Not to mention, we’re pretty darn obsessed with him.
We laugh because Wyatt was probably one of my more difficult newborns to shoot. I figure family pretty much has to do that to you. ;) I don’t mind that he pooped and peed on every.single.one of my blankets and props, because he’s ADORABLE and I’m so glad I got to photograph his newborn session! He’ll be turning one very soon, so this is a fun trip down memory lane.
This entire year of 2015 was filled with AMAZING clients and adorable faces. I feel like my lack of blogging ANY of them means I am hoarding them all to myself. HA! So I’m going to get you all caught up on HJP clients of 2015, how about that?!
This baby boy was my first newborn of the year, and kicked the year off with a great start. He’s going to be a big brother sometime in the near-ish future, and I’m so looking forward to the new baby’s session!
Meeting new families is my jam–I love it! New clients with TWINS — especially twin girls — makes me smile even bigger! I got to meet the Twedt family in December and had a ridiculously fun time with them that afternoon! I think their girls are only a month or two older than my girls! So fun. Adorable outfits, adorable blondies, and a mommy and daddy who love them to pieces. Couldn’t ask for more!
Does this little chickie make you smile, or what? And those eyes! She was such a good girl for her first photo shoot as a newborn, and she was all smiles for this family shoot back in December. She was 5 month old during this session, which can be a little tricky to photograph, but family pictures in time for Christmas cards was a must! I’m looking so forward to shooting her 1 year pictures next month…I can’t believe how fast the time flies! Such a privilege watching my client families grow. Their maternity session over a year ago seems like eons ago!
